Production blog: Scene 1 and 2

Hey bloggers, welcome to day two of our production journey, where we are delving into the exciting process of filming the first two scenes of our commercial. These scenes are pivotal to setting the stage for the story, and I am thrilled to take you behind the scenes to see how it all comes together. Our day began with the careful setup of Scene 1. This scene introduces the viewers to a cozy and relatable moment of someone waking up comfortably in bed. To achieve this, I set up my cozy bed to create a bedroom setting that conveys warmth and comfort. The choice of lighting played a crucial role, ensuring that the ambiance felt inviting and soothing. As the recorder Daram Singh recorded, I used props such as pillows and blankets that could make all the difference in capturing the desired mood. Scene 2 the text message scene is where the narrative takes an exciting turn. In this scene, I get awakened by a text message from a friend, asking to hang out. The challenge here was to capture the transition from a peaceful morning to a moment of curiosity and anticipation from my phone. It was a fantastic opportunity to experiment with camera angles and expressions to convey the emotional shift. We took multiple steps to ensure that we had the perfect shot that would resonate with the audience. The use of visual cues, such as the lighting of the phone screen and the framing of the message notification, was essential in conveying the narrative effectively. Throughout the day, collaboration among me and my teammate was key. From creating a comfortable bedroom setting to the lighting and camera angles from my teammate ensuring the right visual tone, every department played a vital role in making these scenes come to life. At the end of the day, we reviewed the footage and shared feedback. It was amazing to see how these scenes had transformed from mere concepts on paper to engaging visuals on screen. The power of filmmaking to tell a story and evoke emotions was evident in our work. As we wrapped up Day Two, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the rest of the production. We successfully captured two critical scenes that set the stage for the story to unfold. With each scene we film, our commercial project comes closer to its completion, and I'm excited to continue sharing this journey with you.
