1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?


The choice of "You've Got a Friend in Me" as the soundtrack is a nod to convention, leveraging the familiarity and emotional resonance associated with the song. The conventional use of this well-known piece serves as a foundation for the narrative, instantly connecting with the audience's emotions. However, the challenge lies in presenting a unique visual narrative that complements the song without relying solely on its existing associations. The aim is to offer a fresh perspective on friendship, infusing the video with personal experiences and moments that may not be directly associated with the song's original context. Friendship is a universal theme that transcends social, cultural, and demographic boundaries. In my music video, I aimed to represent diverse aspects of friendship, acknowledging its significance across different social groups. The video features moments that resonate with various audiences, emphasizing the common threads that bind us in the tapestry of friendship. By showcasing a range of activities, settings, and relationships, the video seeks to be inclusive, celebrating the diversity of friendships while highlighting the shared emotions that connect people across social groups. Assembling this mosaic demanded an acute understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and the nuanced interplay of visuals and music. The heart of skill development lies in the editing process. Navigating dedicated editing software, such as Cap Cut, became a playground for refining techniques. Organizing assets, categorizing content into thematic chapters, and ensuring a smooth flow between scenes were crucial tasks. Transitions, from cuts to fades, were meticulously employed to enhance the visual narrative. Experimentation with special effects and filters added an artistic layer, showcasing the fusion of technical proficiency and creative flair. A critical aspect of this developmental journey was the synchronization of audio and visual elements. Adjusting volume levels, incorporating sound effects, and aligning these with the visuals required precision. The editing phase demanded an acute awareness of the commercial's overall length, maintaining a balance between engagement and brevity. Reflecting on the initial draft was a vital checkpoint. 4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

This sophisticated software allowed for the meticulous arrangement of scenes, application of transitions, and synchronization of visuals with the music track. On the hardware front, the project leveraged high-quality cameras, lenses, and audio recording equipment.
